From sports betting to EverTrader

Twenty years ago, a college classmate first told him about trading. At the time, he had no idea this topic would accompany him for decades. “I studied at the University of Economics, and with classmates we often discussed how to make money. At first it was sports betting, later forex and CFDs,” he recalls.
His very first trade was on EUR/USD. The outcome? A quick loss of his entire account. “I remember it vividly. High leverage and lack of experience. It was a tough lesson.”
How He Found EverTrader
He was introduced to the idea of prop trading by Dominik Kovařík and his courses. When an email about EverTrader landed in his inbox, he decided to try the Evaluation. “My first attempt didn’t work out – leverage pushed me into a big loss. But I didn’t give up. On my next try, I succeeded, although I admit there was a bit of luck involved.”
The hardest part was patience. “Identifying the right entry point is one thing. But even harder was doing nothing – just waiting for favorable conditions.”
First Payout and Trading with Capital
When his first payout from the funded account came, it was a few hundred euros. “I think I moved it to my personal trading account,” he says.
At the same time, he also trades with his own capital. “Prop trading is more demanding because I have to follow strict rules.”
Unlike his personal account, where he can take on more risk and try volatile instruments, trading on an EverAccount requires discipline and a more conservative approach.
His Strategy and Mindset
Today, he mostly trades the Nasdaq index and Microsoft stock. He relies on support and resistance levels on 4-hour charts. He follows three key rules:
- never use leverage and only invest part of his capital,
- enter only one trade at a time,
- always analyze the chart on multiple timeframes – 4h, daily, and weekly.
“Stop loss and take profit are a must. I trade rarely, but with more peace of mind,” he says.
According to him, EverTrader helped him most with risk management and taught him patience.
The Road Ahead
Mentorship from Dominik Kovařík, his courses, and practice in chart reading have been the biggest drivers of his growth. He mostly trades alone but occasionally watches lectures and webinars.
Lessons and Advice for Others
If he could give one piece of advice to his younger self at the beginning of his journey, it would be this:
“Price movement is random and hard to predict in the short term. There’s no point in following dozens of indicators. Less is more.”
And what would he say to those who are still unsure about EverTrader?
“You need to try it yourself and then make your own judgment.”
