You have to KNOW this. TRADING INDICATORS!

Technical Indicators: a key tool for effective trading with EverTrader

In today’s rapidly changing and volatile trading landscape, it is important for every trader to have the tools that allow for quick and informed market analysis. One of the most important tools that traders can use to improve their decisions are technical indicators. These mathematical tools use historical price data and volumes to predict future price movements. At EverTrader, we are focused on providing trading tools that are efficient and user-friendly, and technical indicators are part of that philosophy.

What are technical indicators?

Technical indicators are mathematical calculations based on historical prices and trading volumes that assist traders in market analysis and decision making. Indicators can be divided into several categories, including trend indicators, oscillators and volume indicators, each of which serves a different purpose.

The most important technical indicators for trading

  1. Moving Averages (MA)
Moving averages are one of the most common indicators that traders use to identify trends. This indicator simplifies price movements by smoothing out fluctuations. There are different types of moving averages, including simple (SMA) and exponential (EMA), with the EMA being more sensitive to recent price movements.
  2. Relative Strength Index (RSI)
The RSI is an oscillator that measures the strength and speed of price movements, allowing traders to identify oversold or overbought conditions in the market. RSI values above 70 indicate an overbought market, while values below 30 indicate a market that is oversold.
  3. MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence)
MACD is one of the most popular indicators for trend trading. It combines moving averages in order to identify changes in the strength and direction of a trend. When the MACD crosses its signal line, it can indicate a strong buy or sell signal.
  4. Bollinger bands
Bollinger bands consist of a moving average and two standard deviations. This indicator shows market volatility and can help traders identify periods of low or high volatility, which are key moments to enter or exit positions.
  5. Stochastic Oscillator
This oscillator is useful in identifying overbought and oversold markets. The basic values are 80 (overbought market) and 20 (oversold market). Stochastic is often used in combination with other indicators to confirm trading signals.
