What is the max. trailing drawdown
The trailing drawdown is calculated from closed trades, moves together with the account balance, and never exceeds the initial virtual capital.
The system operates on a dollar-based method (not a percentage recalculation from the current balance). This means that profits are added to the original trailing drawdown limit.
If you start with a virtual account of 100,000 USD, your maximum trailing drawdown is 6%, i.e., 94,000 USD.
If your balance increases to 103,000 USD (profit +3,000 USD), your maximum trailing drawdown moves to 97,000 USD (94,000 + 3,000).
If your balance increases to 108,000 USD, the maximum trailing drawdown stops at 100,000 USD and no longer increases.
This means that as the account continues to grow, the effective percentage of the trailing drawdown increases beyond the original 6%.
The maximum trailing drawdown does not reset between cycles. Based on this rule, clients in this type of program can choose how much they want to withdraw during payouts.
